Specializing in kitesurfing, kiteboarding, stunt kiting, buggying, kite flying and kite repair, Air has a great selection of kitesurfing and kiteboarding gear, traction and power kites, stunt kites, buggies, single-line kites, and accessories. We even have special kiteboarding lessons for women & girls.
Company History
How Air founder, Adam Von Ins got started - "Three schools and four degrees later, I found my self in business meetings often gazing out the window hoping to find a flag or some leaves blowing around. For creative inspiration, I would fly a kite or just sit outside in the breeze. Then one day it happened. My passion got the best of me and on July 1st, 2001, I said adios to my software executive career and created air. Two years later on July 19th, 2003, air opened it’s first brick ‘n mortar shop in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Based on the art of interacting with the wind, air is passionate about offering great stuff to help invigorate the soul. Whether watching a spinner out side the kitchen window or catching 50 feet on a power kite, air is about using fung (the wind) as a healing power to rejuvenate and enlighten. Ancient cultures have been doing it for centuries."
